What we aim for
This website should be readable by everyone: with a screen reader, with the keyboard alone, at a greatly enlarged font size, or with a raised contrast setting. The measure is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA.
By our own assessment the site meets that measure. It was checked on 27 October 2026, by hand and with tools, in both the daylight and the lamplight view, and at 320, 768, 1280 and 1440 pixels wide. It has not been audited by an independent body.
What is in the code for it
A skip link to the main content as the first element, proper landmarks, and exactly one H1 per page.
Every text colour reaches at least level AA; body text and headings reach AAA.
The whole site can be used with the keyboard, and the focus is always visible.
If your system asks for less motion, you get none — including in the movable book view at the top.
If your system asks for more contrast, colours sharpen and the paper grain is removed.
Filipino passages are marked as such, so screen readers pronounce them correctly.
The reading sample is set up to print cleanly.
Known limits
The movable book view at the top is ornament, not content. Without WebGL, without JavaScript, or with motion switched off, a still cover image with a description stands there instead. Nothing is lost.
The film has no spoken words, only music. Everything said in it appears on screen as text and again as a transcript below the film. There is no audio description.
The book itself is sold as print and as a PDF. The PDF is a page layout, not a structured ebook, and is therefore less suited to a screen reader than an EPUB would be. If you need another form, please write.
